You can browse Open AI Image and play prerecorded examples without an account. When the guest trial is available, you can also generate an eligible image without signing in. A prerecorded video preview is an existing clip, not a new video generated from your prompt. New video generations require sign-in and enough credits or an eligible unlimited benefit.
What you can create without an account
The guest image trial supports GPT Image 2, 1K, medium quality, a 1:1 ratio and an opaque background, without reference files. Choose Image in the composer and review the available trial settings. Other models, higher resolutions, references and video generation are outside this offer.
When available, the trial offers up to 5 free credits after human verification. The interface shows the current allowance and the exact credit price on the Create button. If your settings do not qualify, choose the supported trial settings or sign in for more options.
Availability depends on verification, eligibility and service capacity. A free allowance does not promise a free video. Check the generator's live quote for any video rather than relying on a fixed credit number in an article.
How the guest queue works
A guest request may wait before processing, and only one guest task can be active at a time. The waiting state shows when the request can start processing. Completion time can vary. You can cancel a task while it is still waiting; a confirmed failure or cancellation restores the guest credits charged for that task.
Once the image is ready, you can preview and download it. Keep the same browser session until you have saved your work or linked it to an account. Clearing browser data or letting the guest session expire can remove access. Guest credits retain their original seven-day expiry even after account verification.
What happens when you sign in
Verify your account to keep eligible remaining guest credits and take ownership of your creations. Guest credits and signup credits are one welcome allowance, not two separate gifts. Signing in does not add another five credits on top. An account or email that has already received its welcome allowance does not receive a second trial grant.
A task already processing or completed can transfer into the account workspace. A guest task still waiting is canceled and its guest charge is restored before eligible remaining credits are transferred. Its prompt is kept so you can continue from the signed-in composer. Review the current credit quote and confirm Create again to continue.
When a separate welcome campaign is available to an eligible verified new account that has not received a guest allowance, follow the displayed claim and verification steps. The amount and eligibility shown in the interface apply.
Can I pay before signing in?
When email checkout is offered, choose a plan or credit pack, enter your email and continue to the secure checkout without creating a password first. After payment, verify the code sent to that email to access the purchase and its account benefits. Access to an existing account and its purchases still requires verification.
Use the same checkout email when completing verification. If you return later, the purchase-recovery flow can help you verify it. Other checkout options may still ask you to sign in. The checkout summary shows the actual product, price, billing interval and available payment methods before you pay.
When the sign-in dialog appears
Public articles, model examples and prices remain available without an account. Private assets, account settings, new video generation and options outside the guest image trial require sign-in. A sign-in offer may also appear while browsing. Closing that offer does not change a trial balance or authorize a payment.
Current plans and credit validity
The base monthly plans are Lite ($14.90 / 300 credits), Pro ($29 / 600 credits), and Premium ($149 / 3,500 credits). Higher Pro and Premium allowances are selectable on Pricing. The base annual prices are $156, $174, and $1,188 respectively, paid upfront. Annual plans issue the selected allowance in 12 monthly installments, rather than delivering a year's credits immediately.
Subscription credits expire at the next monthly subscription anniversary and do not roll over. Canceling renewal preserves the purchased term and its remaining monthly installments; a refund ends the refunded entitlement. One-time Starter credits last 180 days; the other standard one-time packs last 365 days. An eligible paid experience pack is a separate, non-renewing offer with its own displayed price, credits and 180-day credit validity.
The generator quotes the exact credit charge for the selected model, resolution, duration, audio and references before confirmation. A plan changes the number and purchase price of credits, not the credits charged for the same generation settings. Reference video can increase the quote.
